Commercial Water Damage
Water damages do cause disruption to retail businesses, but our goal is to keep businesses operating as fully as possible to prevent further financial losses to business owners. This mall sustained a water damage from leaking plumbing, affecting this store. They called SERVPRO to mitigate the damage to the store, and to get them back operational quickly. Our crews arrived promptly and devised a plan to accommodate the clients prime concern, to get their store open to customers as quickly as possible. We began by extracting standing water from the floor surfaces. We then removed the wet base and created vent homes in the walls to increase air flow and drying behind the walls. This allowed us to dry the walls from behind, while completely saving the existing sheetrock and wallpaper. By saving the existing walls and wall treatments, business interruption was reduced since no extra time was needed for replacement. A comprehensive drying plan was designed around the shared goal to keep the business operating as fully as possible and prevent further financial losses to the business owner. To allow for customers throughout the day, minimum equipment was set during business hours, with emphasis on safety and convenience for customers and employees. At the end of each day, after the store closed, additional drying equipment was set to maximize and hasten drying. By identifying our customer’s greatest concern that business interruption be held to a minimum, we were able to work around their needs and create another extremely happy commercial customer.
